Shan Atkins

Shân Atkins has over twenty five years’ experience advising and leading mid-size and large companies across a wide variety of consumer-related industries, including healthcare.

Prior to founding Chetrum, Shân spent several years with Sears, Roebuck & Co., ultimately as Executive Vice President, where she led a variety of hardlines and home-related business units of the company including lawn and garden products, fitness and recreation, and The Great Indoors.

She also served as head of foreign sourcing, managing a network of overseas offices through which product was procured for resale from around the globe for both Sears Roebuck and Sears Canada.

Prior to joining Sears, Shân was a leader in the global consumer and retail practice of Bain & Company, Inc., a leading international strategy consulting firm, and before that, she practiced public accounting with Price Waterhouse Canada

In addition to her work at Chetrum, Shân serves on the boards of Spartan Stores, Inc., True Value Hardware, The Pep Boys – Manny, Moe & Jack, Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation, and Tim Hortons, Inc. In her philanthropic work, she serves on the board of Northwest Community Healthcare, a major Chicago-area hospital.

Shân is a graduate of Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario (Bachelor of Commerce), and the Harvard Business School (Master of Business Administration). She is a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois) and Chartered Accountant (Ontario).
